The idea of SatelliteDirect is to scrape available tv channels around the world and show them through software product. I know there is a lot of advertizing and a lot of debate that this kind of programs are plain scams. All of these programs seems to be for Windows and since I’m a Mac user, I haven’t actually tried any of them. Well, appearantly SatelliteDirect is also for Mac and I thought that I’ll have to see myself how are these working. Ok, let’s go on and see what is this all about.

Ok. I’m now at the members area. Let’s see… There is a link to launch SatelliteDirect and there is download links for Windows Media Player 9 for Mac OS X. Not so hot at all. Help link is only for Windows users. Ok, so there is no Mac program, but instead there is a live streaming with web browser for Mac users. Let’s be open minded and see how is it working. I’ve got Flip4Mac installed, so I don’t have to install Microsoft’s aged Media Player for Mac.

Viewer opens in a new window. I guess the interface in a Windows version is identical. Left there is a list of countires and channels. Top is a action buttons: Play, Swith Tv, Switch Radio, Favorites, Full Screen and Search. There seems to be a lot of channels and serch is working.

Ok, I choose the channel and wait up to 10 seconds, and wait, and wait. Next channel and wait. Next channel and wait. Well, so far connection to media note is all I have seen. I’m sure the SatelliteDirect for Windows is working better…

WILL THIS PRODUCT BRING UP 3500+ TV CHANNELS THAT I CAN LINK TO MY TV AND COMMUNICATE FROM MY REMOTE TO CHANGE CHANNELS. SHOULD BE A SIMPLE INTERPHASE IN THE CABLE LINK FROM PC TO TV THAT ALLOWS ANY TV TO TELL THE COMPUTER TO SWITCH CHANNELS VIA THE REMOTE FOR ANY TV FROM AUX POSITION?
